Fashion Trends I'm Keeping in My Wardrobe for the New Year
It doesn’t hurt to reflect on the fashion you’ve loved over the past year. Perhaps some things will even stay with you for years to come…..
I’d love to look back in a year and see if I truly carried these things into the new year or replaced them with something else.
Some things do come and go, but what are the things I’m taking with me into 2025?
Sheer.
There’s something about styling sheer pieces in a casual way that completely has my heart. Wearing sheer pieces requires confidence, and confidence is undeniably sexy.
Square Toe Shoes.
There was a point over the last year when square-toe started to look much better with outfits again. Don’t get me wrong—there’s definitely a time, place and outfit for pointed or round toes. However, right now, I’m loving a square-toe look.
Less Jewlery.
Over the past year, stacking bangles has become overwhelming—and dare I say annoying? I’ve found myself reaching for bold earrings over stacked bracelets lately. I’ve almost forgotten about necklaces entirely—unless they’re a statement.
Fitted Clothes.
I’ve noticed that more people, myself included, are developing a strong obsession with older movies— movies that serve as a major source of outfit inspiration for me. Everyone was dressed so much better, and the clothes fit impeccably.
Ties….Suits….and I’ll throw in Trousers here too. YSL is top of mind! I haven’t done much of this myself in 2024, but I enjoy seeing it and might dabble in it in 2025.
HAIRSTYLES(side parts).
Who hasn’t fallen in love with @ Allegrasamsen and her side part up do? Hair is an accessory and it can be the most important part of an outfit…….
A clutch!
The energy I’m carrying into 2025 is all about ‘out for apps and gossip, then home. Why would I need straps on my bag for a night like that? I love a clutch. I love holding a clutch under my arm. I love being able to set my dainty clutch on the dinner table and it not being in the way. I am packing up my clutches and bringing them with me in 2025.
V-necks.
Many found their way back to the fun and flirty V-neck over the last year. As a lover of a layered look—a V-neck is one of my favorite choices. I have been loving a V-neck sweater with a colored graphic tee under. It’s my way of trying to be chic without looking too polished.
Vintage.
I mean, always a want, but many of us are now craving well made clothes more than ever. Along with one-of-a-kind pieces, so we aren’t all copy and paste. Vintage anything and everything—building a timeless wardrobe filled with incredible pieces that truly speak to you.
Pinky Blush & No Mascara.
How could I ever go back to wearing mascara every day after living a life without it? I can rub my eyes stress free!
